GOVERNMENT OF WALES BILL 2005
Government of Wales Bill 2005 - Original
The Bill follows the publication of the “Better Governance for Wales” White Paper, which was published by the Secretary of State for Wales in June 2005. The White Paper set out proposals for new legislation to:
1. Effect a formal separation between the executive and the legislative branches of the Assembly
2. Reform existing electoral arrangements
3. Enhance the legislative powers of the Assembly
